28/10/2025 - Rich Rhythms drumming day brings music to St Laurence
School was full of energy and excitement today as Rich Rhythms visited the school to deliver a full day of drumming workshops. Each class had the opportunity to take part in a practical music session using djembes and other hand drums. Pupils explored rhythm, teamwork and call-and-response playing, building up to a final shared performance. The workshops were highly engaging and encouraged listening, turn-taking and confidence through music.
06/11/2025 - Mini Police Cadets
What a fantastic experience for our Mini Police Cadets! They enjoyed a brilliant trip to Margate Police Station, where PC Williams gave them a tour of the station, a peek inside a police car, and even showed them all the tools officers carry on their jackets! What a great way to learn about keeping our community safe.
