At St Laurence, we recognise the importance of high-quality outdoor play and active playtimes for every pupil. Although we are a junior school, we know that children still need regular opportunities to explore, create, imagine and develop through play.

Our playtimes are designed to be engaging, active and enjoyable, while also helping children to develop important skills such as teamwork, resilience, creativity and problem-solving. We provide suitable clothing and equipment so that pupils can make the most of our outdoor spaces throughout the year.

We are not afraid of a little rain. Outdoor play in different weather conditions gives children opportunities to be active, adventurous and imaginative, while developing confidence and independence.
